Culture of Visibility

WHAT IS IT?
A tailored ONLINE program for organisations comprising three elements: WEBINARS, POV ADVOCATE SESSIONS and ONE-ON-ONE VISIBILITY COACHING.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Suitable for company-wide professional development, executive teams, on-boarding and upskilling.

WHY PARTICIPATE?
Organisations are as good as their people. Skilled and experienced professionals, aka Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will benefit from an environment where visibility is nurtured from the inside out.

Imagine a culture where visibility is understood and encouraged. Rather than feeling isolated, awkward, ignored and passed over for opportunities, team players felt valued and respected for their expertise. Whether an employee is new to the organisation or is leading the executive team with decades of experience, visibility is everyone’s business.

Working in an organisation that has a positive and nurturing Culture of Visibility will impact personal work effectiveness, satisfaction and ultimately the business bottom line.

Women’s POV

WHAT IS IT? WHAT’S THE TIME COMMITMENT?
This unique masterclass & workshop is a highly practical and engaging 2 x 2 hour sessions, held ONLINE over two consecutive weeks (total 4 hours).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Ideal for skilled and experienced women, particularly corporate executives, content creators, business leaders, entrepreneurs and subject matter experts.

WHY PARTICIPATE?
The program helps women supercharge their personal and professional brand, renew their career passion and achieve the opportunities and success they deserve. It’s been described as “life-changing”.

It’s an ideal professional development opportunity for women who may have hit a career roadblock, feel almost invisible when it comes to job hires, promotions and skills recognition. They will feel energised with renewed focus and purpose.

The program is run in partnership with organisations, from associations adding value to its members, to corporates offering company-wide learning and development.

Visibility is everyone’s business.

Quotable Women

In direct response to the pressing need to close the media gender talent gap, two veterans of the industry have launched a professional training program to empower women to be ready, willing and able to step up to the microphone.

Quotable Women combines two proven brands: The Power of Visibility, which identifies experts and builds a culture of corporate ‘visibility’, and TM Media Training which gives spokespeople the practical tools to confidently handle interviews with journalists.

The recent Women in Media Gender Scorecard revealed women are still severely under-represented in news stories. Isentia analysis of nearly 20,000 print, radio and TV news items during a 14-day period, showed barely a third of the expert sources quoted were female.

The report’s authors are calling on organisations to invest in training female sources, especially in the areas of retail, sport and finance, where spokeswomen are particularly under-represented.

Quotable Women is the solution to this urgent call-to-action.

Brand strategist and publicist Karen Eck, together with expert media trainer and former TV journalist Theresa Miller are collaborating to offer their timely Quotable Women program to Australian industries wanting to invest in their people.

Leaders are encouraged to review and assess their organisations with respect to the level of female representation on the media frontline. Identifying media spokespeople using an expertise-led not boss-led approach will open up more talent. Then training them is the next step, so everyone is prepared and ready to step up.

How does your organisation RATE when it comes to gender representation in the media? Take the quick survey below to find out more.

Past Events

Karen Eck presented a Power of Visibility (POV) one-hour interactive masterclass at the 2023 Women in Media National Conference. The well-attended session received overwhelming feedback; some called it a game-changer.

In October 2023, Karen travelled to the Sunshine State to present a two-hour interactive workshop for ADA Leadership Conference: Leading with Vision for the dental industry.

Karen has facilitated five sold out masterclasses in partnership with Dame Changer, a not-for-profit organisation that advances women in the screen industry.

The Property Council of Australia completed its first POV, running the course as part of its highly regarded Academy program in 2021.

Her Trails, a female trail and adventure platform held its inaugural immersive cultural and wellness retreat in the Northern Territory. Eight extraordinary women learned about the Power of Visibility in their respective fields, from law and environmental science to building and construction.

Answers for Associations ran a special webinar in September, 2021 for its members, from diverse industries including mining, medicine, agriculture and infrastructure management.

The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) completed the masterclass in 2021 with its entire team, from CEO to event co-ordinator. In 2022, they will run a bespoke webinar for their members.

The Culture of Visibility program is currently working with two organisations in building skills and confidence in their respective brands. These include NATA, the National Association of Testing Authorities, which ran a 3-stage POV program across 2022 for its 185 staff.

From economics and science, health and wellness to media and executive management … visibility is everyone’s business.
